Vegan Wiener Schnitzel

Here you go: Wiener Schnitzel with no meat and no eggs i.e. vegan! This recipe is so simple and very traditional but of course without any cholesterol or animal ingredients.
Serve with French fries but it goes perfectly with mashed potatoes too.


Ingredients: 

Serves 3-4

  • Seitan slices made of 125 g wheat gluten
  • 50 chickpea flour
  • 70 g breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • oil

  1. Prepare a batter using chickpea flour, salt and water. Its texture should be like a pancake batter.
  2. Cover the seitan slices in the batter and then in breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry them in oil. 

Preparation time: 15 minutes (made of ready to cook seitan)
