Mushroom paté

Here is a paté for very special sandwiches. But watch out, better eat for breakfast as it is difficult to stop! Give a try with hot sandwich as well, satisfaction guaranteed.


Ingredients for a small bowl:

  • 300 g mushrooms (champion is fine)
  • 1 onion
  • 50 ml oil (olive and coconut oil mixed)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 100 ml soy milk
  • 3 tsp tomato paste
  • Seasoning: salt, pepper, wild marjoram, ground cumin, garlic powder, liquid smoke, fresh parsley


  1. Cut the onion and sauté it in oil.
  2. Blend the mushroom and add it to the onions. Cook till the sauce is gone.
  3. Add tomato paste and all spices except for salt.
  4. Sprinkle with flour, add the milk and bring it to boil.
  5. Add salt and more spices if necessary.


Extra tip: Do not hesitate to use quite a lot of spices. When cool, tastes will fade a bit.
